God’s Building a New Ark, Part 3

fearGod’s Word declares that Christians have not been given the spirit of fear; but of “power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7) Therefore, we should not worry, knowing God is in control. However, we still have a certain responsibility to protect our families and be ready should disaster strike. Remember the saying, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”? It’s so true and has been proven time and time again. We don’t want to be alarmists, but to ignore the tragedies we’ve witnessed in our own country (natural and intentional) and the conditions around the world, would be foolish. It CAN happen to us! Disaster relief organizations on all levels (local, state, and federal) have all strongly encouraged families to develop a plan and be prepared, assembling enough food and supplies to last from three days to a week. In most cases, it takes three days or longer for the development and implementation of a coordinated response, locally or from an outside community. Not only would you benefit your own family but could maybe help your neighbors in time of need, too. Love in action! A testament to your walk with the Lord! NOTE: Think BIGGER than “three days to a week.” Think a LOT bigger. We have gotten to the place in history (the end of the church age, the age of grace) where we should prepare for months and even years.  I know some will argue the point, but we are, without a doubt, living in the Revelation days. We are the Revelation generation that will very soon see the return of the Lord, Jesus Christ, but many theologians believe we will be going through some or all of the Tribulation period. So, prepare NOW for yourself and for your family while there’s still time.

“When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28 Exciting times for those of us who are believers.
